Overview
Context
- post blueberry pickin' meal. The bluebs were our appetizer
- Bartek initially said “To be honest I don’t think we’re going to have a good pizza today”
Crust
- munching on the crust sounds like the ticket machine from chucky cheese
- the profound crispiness of the crust provided the structural integrity necessary for such a greasy pizza. It never got soggy or floppy
Sauce
- Chunky tomato sauce.
- Very tasty had some basil although couldn’t taste it. Probably cooked with the sauce.
- At the end of a slice right before the crust they bless you with some tomato chunks. An oasis in the midst of a tasty desert, albeit a mild one. (Not too too dry)
Mozzarella
Ham
- ham is good, abby thinks it’s tough but her teeth are likely becoming increasingly dull as she only eats plants
Pineapple
- pineapple was A-plus, giving it a signature Hawaiian flavor
Veggie Alternative: Black Olives
- even the olives were pleasant - making the vegetarian option completely viable. Sunshine chef approved
Additional Thoughts
- the good folks at the chunky tomato like their pizzas well done. They dry out the pizza a little in favor of extreme crispiness, magmag (the Maillard reaction), and letting that the cheese grease loose
