Dimitri's Pizza Restaurant

Review

Full Review

Craving Hawaiian but also not wanting to drive too far, we found ourselves at Dmitri’s Pizza. Per the expertise of the waitress we got the thicker style crust, which ultimately was a pretty standard thickness. In any case, what stood out to us immediately was that the pizza had very pleasant, vibrant colors. The sauce was delicious and had a little bit of a sweetness to and the cheese was pretty standard. The ham was serviceable, but there was too much of it. Thankfully, the pieces were very thin so it was tolerable. The pineapple was also pretty standard, it was canned but at least they put a good amount of it. There was also oregano on the pizza, however there was a little too much and it made it taste overly Italian. Now the interesting part. The pizza was absolutely delicious, for the first seven minutes that is. The crust was extremely good. The base of it was super crispy and light, almost like a pan pizza. Once we passed the seven minute mark, the oil started to settle and the crust got more chewy and less pleasant. This was accompanied by the congealing of the cheese, and led to an exponential decline of our enjoyment. Overall, the takeaway is that this pizza is highly recommended as long as you are able to eat it within seven minutes. We recommend you come with a plan and treat your dinner as if it was a hot dog eating competition.
