Harry's Pizza
Let’s start off by saying that it’s possible that Harry’s Pizza (both the establishment and the pizza itself) is haunted. Throughout our meal, our table would shake sporadically. The only two possible explanations for this are that either it was being caused by a disturbed spirit or, perhaps, a dishwasher that was behind the wall adjacent to our table. These abnormalities at Harry’s Pizza did not end there, in fact they manifested themselves in the pizza as well. It was hard to pinpoint the source of this pizza’s wacky funhouse flavor, but we gave it our best shot. One of the contributing factors was the phantom jalapeno flavor on some of the pineapple pieces. Considering the lack of jalapeno on the pizza, there are only two possible explanations of this: either there were jalapeno pepper spirits at play or, perhaps, whoever is the kitchen isn’t washing their hands very well. Complimenting this was an occasional pho taste from the ham and a lingering cheez-it-esque aftertaste following each bite. This aftertaste may be attributed to the asiago cheese, which is what kept us going through the pizza as it kept making us think “hmm… what’s that flavor? Let me see it again”. While interesting, it didn’t really deserve all the attention it got. All these flavors were delivered to us atop an appropriately unusual crust. The crust appeared to get tougher to chew as time passed, easily surpassing conventional pizza-crust-staling rates. At times it felt like you were chewing on a very thin towel - without a doubt, a unique mouth feel. Despite all of this, it honestly wasn’t that bad though! Just confusing, but that’s probably because we’re unaccustomed to eating haunted pizzas. Despite not being very busy, our waitress got us in and out DUMB QUICK - presumably because they caught on to what we were doing! They must have seen that we’re not your typical foodie bloggers, but rather seasoned Hawaiian pizza connoisseurs / paranormal activity investigative journalists.
