Overview
Context
- Start of our Trip to NYC with Bunso. First time back in NYC since COVID
- Finally got to have it after years of wanting to
Crust
- In between new haven and new york
- Super crispy, light, a pleasant chew
- Flavorful, well salted and a little smoky
- SO GOOD - S tier crust
Bechamel
- served as the sauce
- smooth, creamy, and not too thick
- blended extremely well with the cheese - taking it to another level
Provel
- really really good
- Potentially the first time having it (only made aware in retrospect)
Speck
- salty but that’s to be expected with a cured meat
- As far as fancy hams go, much better than prosciutto
Pineapple
- Fresh, tasty
- Perhaps not ripe enough. It wasn’t able to match the saltiness of the pizza
Miscellaneous Toppings
- The
- scallions
- were an okay addition, they were grilled instead of a fresh garnish. As a result, not overpowering
- The
- chili flakes
- made it a little spicy, but it wasn’t one of the primary flavors
Additional Thoughts
We also got the Margherita which was probably the best pizza we’ve ever had. The sauce was so good Abby said she could drink it on it’s own.
